These diagrams are illustrative. N+1 means one spare unit. 2N means two independent full-capacity paths. Block redundant means N blocks plus one reserve block.

Topologies commonly used to target Tier III concurrent maintainability or Tier IV fault tolerance are described here only as capacity patterns. This page does not assess or award any rating.
